The 5918 assault boat is mainly used in the army to support infantry units in crossing rivers and landing operations at sea. It can be used in local units to carry out public security and law enforcement, water transportation, communication, first aid and other duties. It is a designated ship type by the National Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters and is widely used in flood control and disaster relief. It is known as the “ship of life”.
